Today I want to share my nail secret with you guys…I wear press on’s! Only I think I do a pretty good job at not making them look like press on nails. After getting acrylic nails religiously for years, last Fall I finally decided to take them off for a training class. To my surprise, after removing the tips, my real nails and nail bed were severely damaged. It took me 4-6 months before my nails grew past my skin and even then they were VERY brittle.
After getting acrylic nails religiously for years, last December I finally decided to take them off for a training class. To my surprise, after removing the tips, my real nails and nail bed were severely damaged. It took me 4-6 months before my nails grew past my skin and even then they were VERY brittle.
Moving forward I attempted to opt for a better solution- gel nails. Only everytime I went to the nail salon, the technician tried to convince me that the powder + liquid duo that he was pulling out (before I even told him what I wanted) was a “gel-powder“. 🤔🤔🤔 How could it be a gel if it was a powder, you ask? Yeah me too, that’s when I got myself up out of that chair and swore off nail salons.
My only problem is that I really actually enjoy tips and the cool sound they make when tapping against my keyboard.😔 It sort of makes me feel sophisticated, you know.
I decided that I was going to try and do them myself. I do remember wearing press-on nails back in school, you know the kind that popped off every other period? Yeah, those. I knew I was taking a chance with this press-on situation but I decided to try it out anyway.
To my surprise, my nails came out pretty darn professional looking, and the best part is, they last for about a week! Very cheap, very low maintenance, and very EASY to do! Check out the tutorial below!

Fashion is fun! There are so many different looks and vibes that you can give off just by switching up your wardrobe pieces. Off-the-shoulder shirts are the ultimate chic vintage vibe. It is the perfect grown-up sexy way to showing a little skin while still maintaining class. Plus off the shoulder blouses pair really well with any bottom; pants, jeans, skirts, you could even pull them off with joggers if you’re really risky!
Happy styling! xoxo
1. THE ANKLE BOOT
Year after year the ankle bootie never fails us as a fall favorite. This style is so versatile! It can be worn as a flat or a heel making it super easy to dress up or down. This is the perfect shoe staple for your fall wardrobe.
2. THE CHUNKY HEEL
The 70’s are back in full swing, groovy baby! These chunky heels are ripped straight from the psychedelic era. The nude and neutral tones help to add a more minimalistic vibe to this shoe. Whether in a super cute bootie or an open toed heel, I’m sure your feet will thank you for a stiletto break this fall.
3. THE MARY JANE HEEL
This pump will forever be a classic. Mary Jane’s always add a tough of feminism to an outfit. Pair these with an a-line midi skirt or a mod mini dress and patterned tights, perfect and trendy for the fall.
4. THE BALLET FLAT
This shoe will forever be a classic. The ballet flat is perfect for sprucing up a pair of jeans or a nice skirt. You can still get that classic dolled-up look without the pain of heels. They come in an abundance of different styles and colors, and the best part about them is you don’t even have to wear socks!
5. THE HIGH BOOT
For the sexy woman in all of us there is the high boot. Take it mid calf, knee high, or dare you say thigh high this fall with this risqué trend. You can wear it as a flat boot, wedged, full on stiletto, or even a fun peep toe or sandal. This boot is another favorite staple for the fall.
6. THE SNEAKER
Ahh the sneaker. Personally I am not a huge fan of sneakers BUT this fall they are definitely making a comeback. Sneakers are super comfortable, easy to throw on, and go with practically anything you can find in your closet! If you are like me and like to avoid laces whenever possible try some of the new slip on sneaker styles.

This weekend I had the pleasure of attending my first Bronner Brother’s Hair Show here in Atlanta. I was super excited because I had always heard so many great things about this historic trade show but I had no idea what to wear. I decided to play it safe with my normal black and white canvas and throw a pop of color in there. And anyone who knows me knows that I’m a bit extra, so even though I knew I’d be doing mostly walking all day, I still decided to #slay in my heels! I met so many awesome people from so many different places, it was really a great networking experience. Check out the outfit details after the jump.
I absolutely L-O-V-E hats! Big floppy hats are one of the boldest accessories that you can incorporate into your spring/summer wardrobe. They can be dressed up with pants and pumps or you can dress it down with a maxi dress and flats. Either way you pair it, you can definitely expect to turn heads 🙂

Something about A-line skirts always inspires me to twirl a little. Transitioning from winter to spring is a wonderful time of year for your wardrobe. The weather is heating up a bit so you can start showing a little skin, but that doesn’t mean you have to put your winter ensembles away just yet. Pairing long sleeves, turtlenecks, and sweaters with a cute skirt creates the recipe for a perfect transitioning outfit…and who can resist a cute boot?

I have a ton of clothes, sometimes I don’t remember exactly where I got an item from, or it may be so old that the company doesn’t even sell it anymore, or maybe the item is just really expensve. However I will always put an alternative (budget friendly) version so that you guys can always “Get the Look”!
I’ve been itching to wear these boots every since I first found these babies this summer. Fall is the perfect season to rock these bad boys so I figured why not put together a sleek fall look with them.

What do you think of over-the-knee boots? Are they too daring for you or just daring enough?
Hi loves! SO, one of my best friends asked me to help her decide what to wear to a wedding that she’s attending this summer, and I thought that this would be a great idea for a blog post! I know that whenever I’m looking for an outfit for a special occasion it helps to have a fashion board to help visualize how each individual piece would look together. I came up with an outfit that I think will look absolutely chic without upstaging the bride. hehe 🙂 Oh, and did I mention that each piece costs less than $70? Haha I’m such a savvy little shopper. Let me know what you guys think!
I Absolutley LOVE That Clutch!
